Are We Living Intentionally in 2026?

How Living Intentionally was highlighted by Events

When I began to prepare the social media for January 2026, I picked a topic about living and living intentionally. And then a few days ago, we had a massacre in Sydney, and that massacre has had an impact on many, many people. It’s had an impact on me, just as it has everybody else, from the perspective of how did we get to this point.

How did we arrive at a point where for us to live, somebody else has to die?

How did we get to a point where all of our problems belong to somebody else?  Because in our eyes, they don’t appear to have any, or they’re richer, they’re more intelligent, they’re better on some level than we are.

Where did our humanity go that we could observe what’s been happening for the last two years and stay silent?

Marching for Palestine is emotion driven. Does that mean that people aren’t suffering? No, but what it means is that when it’s emotion driven, then there’s no boundary to what’s occurring. It’s like a lynch mob, and I know a lot of people aren’t going to like me for saying that!

Being Who We Be

However, in order to live intentionally, it’s about being who we be. It’s about standing in the light of what we claim to be our values, being honest about what we see. And no matter the situation, there is no excuse for the kind of carnage that happened on a peaceful Sunday in Sydney.

People came with hate. And there’s no place for hate in a society that prides itself on being multi-cultural. Other people came to celebrate, to dance and to sing.

There are no winners in this situation.

The only winners are those who look at what’s transpiring and set an intention to live their life to be the best that they can be, to be open hearted, to be accepting, to look at injustice from the perspective, not of who’s to blame, but of what do we need to recognise to do something about it?

A very brave young man stood in the midst of a crowd of people and began to sing one song. We are Australian.

We Are Humanity

It’s time we all sang the song, We are Humanity.

We are connected, one to another, and to look at how we can unite and build community, not how we can divide and conquer. How we can collaborate, not compete. How at a time like this, it’s not about pointing fingers, it’s about looking at what needs to be done to change the energy, to be open hearted, to be willing to connect in love, in friendship, in kindness and compassion.

I’d like to begin 2026 by asking all of you, who do you be?

Is love at the centre of who you are? Then, if so, how do we begin to return to the village that we all used to live in, where everybody mattered, where kindness was the order of the day. Perhaps I’m naive, but I grew up in a place like that. I grew up with a family like that.

It’s time to stand in light and love and begin your spiritual journey, your intuitive journey, your intentional living by standing for the values that are most important to you and not saying, “It’s not my business. That’s nothing to do with me.”

It’s not about fighting. It’s about living intentionally with Love and Light.
