Finding our way through the celestial landscape doesn’t have to feel like deciphering a cold, distant map. The Medicine is Always Nearby

There is a beautiful symmetry in nature that we often see mirrored in the heavens. If you have ever walked through a field and brushed against a stinging nettle, you may have noticed that the soothing dock leaf almost always grows nearby.

In Australia and New Zealand, we are blessed with a landscape that holds its own ancient wisdom. While the “dock and nettle” story is a beautiful one from the old world, we often look to the Cunjevoi (or Spoon Lily) as a more local reminder of this natural balance.

If you have ever brushed against the Gympie-Gympie (the giant stinging tree) in the rainforests of Queensland or New South Wales, you will know the sting is formidable. Yet, almost as if the land itself is offering a hand to hold, the broad, lush leaves of the Cunjevoi are frequently found growing right at its feet, ready to soothe the skin with its cool, milky sap.

In Aotearoa New Zealand, we see a similar companionship between the Ongaonga (tree nettle) and the Kawakawa. While they may not always sit side-by-side in every clearing, they are often used together in traditional Rongoā practice. The Kawakawa is a heart-led plant, known for its incredible healing properties and its ability to calm the system after it has been startled or stung.

This is the essence of what we explore in our Intuitive Astrology introduction. Just as our bushland provides the remedy near the irritant, our birth charts never present us with a challenge without also providing the “medicine” to heal it.

Whatever challenges or “stings” appear within our astrological makeup, the remedy is tucked away just a few degrees over. We help you identify these inherent solutions, shifting from a place of friction to one of flow. We are so thankful for this wisdom, as it reminds us that we are never given a hurdle without also being gifted the specific tools to clear it.
