If the answer is yes because it might make you feel good about yourself then don’t step forward. You are no longer being you. You’re being who you think this person needs you to be. It will turn sour very quickly for you both. The relationship will become unequal. After all, they want to emulate you. They don’t want to be you. 

If they do want to be you then step totally away as that can become an unhealthy fixation. 

Being happy to be a role model for others without attaching to it means that you are fulfilling the role being asked of you. You are embodying a way of being for them. It’s not really about our personality. It’s about how we use our energy to navigate life.
