Have you ever played with “what if”?   

What if – you were to retire? 

What if – you found another path to walk? 

What if – people are no longer inspired by you?  

I’ve done this exercise a few times over the years. The answer I always got was that it wouldn’t matter. If I retire then I’ll simply serve another way. If I found another path to walk, I know it would still be in service to others. If people no longer found what I was doing inspiring then I would ask if it was time to change and to what.  

The point is that for me life is a journey and an adventure. I don’t want it always to be the same. We’ve lived in 3 different countries, visited many more and had both easy and challenging times. If we base our lives on others and their needs then we live on a rollercoaster. 

After all, we can please some of the people some of the time, but we can’t please all of the people all of the time. If we’re pleasing Spirit and playing the part we came to play then I reckon we’re doing well.
