Do you ever stop to ask yourself that question?

Why do you live where you do?

Why do you do what you do?

Why do you hold a certain set of beliefs that define you?

We live in a world that focuses on what we do, where we live, how we operate both physically and spiritually. Yet we often forget to ask ourselves why.
Are we driftwood deposited where we are by the ocean of possibilities? Do we do what we do because we “fell into it”? Did we inherit our beliefs?
Not asking the question why indicates that somewhere along the way you stopped being curious about yourself. This is not about right or wrong, which changes according to the morality of the day. If we follow that we are simply aligning to current thought.

When we stop being curious about who we are and why we are, we limit ourselves to appearances and how we engage with the world. We stop being open to learning more about us, our potentials and possibilities. How often do you question what brought you to where you are? Why are you…(fill in the blanks for any of the above or create your own).

We all have a purpose and asking why questions helps us to be open to what is driving or guiding us. It helps us to recognise if we are leaves in the wind, being blown hither and yon, or if we are following our intuitive prompting to be all we can be.

When was the last time you asked yourself why? And if you then ask why to every answer you receive until there is no why, you’ll be amazed at what you discover about yourself and your purpose.
